This project involved the design of a lightweight two storey rear extension on top of an existing office building using Metsec structural framing system and hot rolled steel sections together with lightweight Lytag concrete composite floors. The roof pavilion construction was again a lightweight structural steel utilising Metsec lattice trusses in order to reduce dead loadings on the existing structure. PCA were able to meet the requirements of the Architect’s brief in achieving the column free office space. PCA also provided design support on numerous structural glass applications.
