This fascinating building has been conceived as a totally carbon neutral building, with structural materials sourced as far as possible from the surrounding wood in which is stands. Construction is due to be completed in late 2008. The building has a green oak frame ‘skeleton’ with softwood stud and rafters and is clad in timber boarding and shingles.
