Access onto the existing pontoon arrangement was extremely steep and almost unusable at low tide. Paul Carpenter Associates were commissioned to design a scheme which improved accessibility. This involved reconfiguring the gantry, new piling and landing stage and new landward anchor block onto the sea wall.
