| This project involved the restoration of
a 16th century Tythe Barn. The building was partly derelict
and had a corrugated iron and steel truss roof after
a fire. Following archaeological advice the original
cruck frame roof structure was reformed in 'green oak'
to support a new thatched roof covering. The gable walls
had to be raised to their original height and local areas
of the stonework consolidated and repaired. The building
now has a new use as a wonderful conference and wedding
venue. |
